Khanate formed in 2000 after Stephen O'Malley and James Plotkin met at an Isis concert in NYC by way of Dave Witte (of Discordance Axis), and met up with a members of the black dirge band Shadowcast (US). Shadowcast (US) was a black dirge group that existed in 2000. It featured James Plotkin, Jason Corely (ex-16) and Alan Dubin. There was one recording of only three tracks, which was never released, and only spread to few people and record labels. It's not known how Tim Wyskida joined.

*Additional Notes: BLIND DOG formed when Nilsson and Thell needed a drummer for a party gig. Thomas was called in to do one gig but the band stuck together since they discovered that everything worked so well.
BLIND DOG recorded a demo in 1996, which was discovered by RoadRunner and rendered them a place on the compilation album "Burn one up" in 1997.
Getting tired of waiting for a record deal the band released they debut album under own name in 1999 — "The Last Adventures Of Captain Dog". This album was picked up by MeteorCity and re-released by them the year after.
In 2002 BLIND DOG, was contacted by Listenable Records and a cooperation started with the band and the two labels which to date has resulted in one album: "Captain Dog Rides Again" (2003).

*Additional Notes: Katatonia (Catatonia) is a psychiatric condition often associated with schizophrenia. It is characterized by a general absence of motor activity or violent, hyperactive behavior.
Katatonia took some time off after Dance of December Souls, only recording intermittently while Renkse recorded with October Tide and Nystrцm pursued Diabolical Masquerade. When they returned, they began shifting towards a more rock-oriented sound, especially from Brave Murdery Day and onwards. By Discouraged Ones, there was hardly any metal left in their sound.
Peaceville has bought rights to the masters of Katatonia's back catalog previously released on Avantgarde Music and will remaster and reissue all the full-length albums in digipack format. First up on October 23, is Brave Murder Day that will feature Sounds Of Decay as a bonus + revamped artwork + liner notes from the band. Peaceville has also bought the rights to some of the Katatonia members side-projects, including Diabolical Masquerade and October Tide, with reissues to follow accordingly throughout the near future.

Vocalist Andrei Amartinesei left the band in September 2006 to focus on school and his studies. New members Henry Pykkц and Fredrik Andersson replaced him on guitar vocals, respectively. Andersson then parted ways from the band and Mikael Marjarnen moved from guitar to vocals, with Andreas Eriksson joining the band to fill Marjarnen's guitar duties.

*Additional Notes: God Is an Astronaut are an instrumental three piece hailing from the Glen of the Downs, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. They formed in 2002 and released their debut album The End of the Beginning (2002) on their own Revive Records label. Their two music videos for The End of the Beginning and From Dust to the Beyond, received airplay on MTV UK and on other MTV European networks.
All Is Violent, All Is Bright (2005) is the band's second album. The album features their build ups from serene ambience to searing intensity and is a closer representation of their live sound. The single Fragile from the album has also received plays on MTV2 UK's 120 minute show and MTV's "The Comedown" show.
God Is an Astronaut released an EP called A Moment of Stillness in 2006.
Their third album, Far from Refuge, was released in April 2007 on Revive Records and as a download via their website.

*Additional Notes: Winterblut evolved its style from traditional German Black Metal to a more dissonant, disharmonic form of experimental Black Metal, most remarkably since "Promo 2000".
Winterblut is often mistaken for an NSBM band due to the release of the first album "Der 6. Danach" on the infamous Darker Than Black, label of the Mцbus brothers (Absurd (Ger)). Contrary to these rumours Winterblut has openly distanced himself from national socialist ideology.
L'Hiver runs a studio in which besides Winterblut Black Metal bands such as Nargaroth, Nyktalgia and Krieg recorded albums.
